I never quite left entirely, but as of March 2021, I’m back working consistently on Track1099. A customer described us as “my favorite software that I only use once per year,” and we strive to stay reliable and easy to use as our old customers come back and more new ones come every year.

It’s a surprisingly dynamic market, and we’ve been around, e.g., for the rise of the gig economy creating a wave of 1099-MISC forms and the rise of cryptocurrency creating a wave of 1099-K forms.

I’m the primary developer on the frontend and also the guy who figures out the architectural pieces to make audited efiling and reports over 10s of thousands of forms fast.
